We are located in historic, downtown Holland TX,

right next door to City Hall.

Take The Holland (FM 2268) Exit #283 off of

I-35 North or South.

Go east 9 miles. Turn right on FM 1123 for 1 block.

Turn left on W.Travis.

We are the last building on your left before the RR tracks.  Just "Look for the RED door"!

Walking through the front door, you enter the lobby/kitchen area.

Steve opened Awesome Works in 1999 in Belton, TX.  By 2004, he had outgrown his 4 room studio.  Knowing he needed more space and more gear, he purchased an old, historic building at the corner of

W. Travis & N. Front Street in Holland TX.  At the time, the building was being used as a Sanford & Son-ish antique/used furniture store.  However, rumor has it that before that it had been a Tejano bar as well as the one of the town's first saloons in the mid-1880's, both of which saw their fair share of fights.  Perhaps that is why, located on the back of the property, sits the original two room jail house.  Law enforcement didn't have to drag the perps very far!

So the renovation began. The building was gutted and false ceilings removed, revealing the 14 foot ceilings Steve knew he needed for maximum sound in the main room and leaving him enough head room to float the floor in the control room.  From his previous experiences, he knew about bass traps, no parallel walls, double doors and walls, etc.  Not being a carpenter, Steve hired a custom builder and consulted with some acoustic design engineers about his ideas.  From the input and expertise of everyone involved,  Awesome Works Recording Studio was re-born.

Walking through the front door, you enter the multi-functional office/kitchen/restroom area.

Refrigerator, Microwave, WiFi.  And that table?  Many great artists have eaten there...

and many great musical arrangements and charts have also been created there!

To the left, is the spacious and comfortable

Control Room.  This is where you will find Steve and his "toys".

Straight ahead you'll find the Main Room.

The high ceilings and acoustic combination of concrete, wood, sheetrock, glass and velvet, along with the

right mics and preamps make it the perfect room for recording anything.....especially percussion and vocals.

There are two Isolation Booths along the right wall of the Main Room.

These rooms are the favorites of our Acoustic/Electric/Bass Guitar and Keyboard players.

In the rear of the building is the Load In/Out area and door,

as well as a third, raised

Isolation Booth, currently used

              as a "starter studio".

There is ample parking behind the building,

so bring the tour bus!
